Bob Beliles
Vice President, Enterprise Business Development,
Hirsch Electronics

Bob Beliles is Vice President of Enterprise Business Development for Hirsch Electronics, a leading manufacturer of IP-based high security access control and identity management systems. Prior to joining Hirsch, Mr. Beliles co-founded and subsequently lead the marketing efforts for Cisco System's physical security initiative, including the acquisition and integration of two video surveillance systems vendors. Bob has authored several patents (pending) on the subject of building system convergence on an IP infrastructure, including physical security systems. During his 11 years with Cisco, he also led product teams for Cisco's flagship network switch and was responsible for some of Cisco's first and widely deployed VoIP-capable products. Additionally, he has 11 years of systems engineering and sales experience with Advanced Micro Devices, Hewlett Packard and Philips Information Systems. He is frequently quoted in the industry press and is an accomplished security industry speaker. Mr. Beliles holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Clemson University.

 

 

Paul Bodell

Paul Bodell is a customer-focused sales and marketing executive with 20 years of international experience. He has spent over 15 years in the security industry with senior management positions at Sensor/HID, Silent Knight, and Philips CCTV. Currently, he is Chief Marketing Officer for IQinVision, a manufacturer of IP video systems and smart HD and megapixel cameras. Paul is a regular contributor to top industry magazines and is active in SIA, the IP UserGroup, TechSec Solutions Advisory Board, and other industry groups. He holds undergraduate degrees in Engineering from the University of Connecticut, Mathematics from Fairfield University, and an MBA from University of New Haven.

 

 

Bill Bozeman, CPP, CHS

Bill Bozeman is president and CEO of PSA Security Network, the world's largest electronic security cooperative. Mr. Bozeman has 28 years of experience in the security systems integration business and has been successful in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments.

In 2005, Mr. Bozeman was inducted into the Security Integration Hall of Fame, a lifetime achievement award which recognizes those individuals whose careers have helped shape the electronic security industry. In 2006, he was acknowledged as one of the security industry's 25 Most Influential Security Executives.

 

Jeremy Brecher,

Jeremy Brecher is responsible for Diebold Enterprise Security's US Operations and Information Technology Group. With over 12 years of experience, Jeremy has successfully managed numerous large-scale system conversions and new deployments for Fortune 500 companies. Diebold Enterprise's Network Services & Technology team is a key differentiator and is recognized throughout the industry as a leader in providing enterprise integrated security solutions in corporate IP environments.

Jeremy holds a bachelor's degree from Queens College, City University of New York.

John Daniels
Senior Director of Facility Security
National Basketball Association

John Daniels is the Senior Director of Facility Security for the National Basketball Association. He provides global oversight for thirteen NBA corporate offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Additionally, he is responsible for the NBA Store in New York City and two NBA warehouses. He has over fifteen years of experience in retail loss prevention, retail operations, executive protection and special event security working with companies such as Federated Department Stores, Nike Inc., World Duty Free and Toys R Us. John oversaw the conversion of a local based analog camera system and card access system housed in a few locations to a centrally managed global IP camera and card access system.

John has a BS degree in Biology from St. John's University and is a veteran of the U.S.M.C. where he served as a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Instructor during the Desert Storm military conflict.

 

Sam Docknevich,

Sam Docknevich has more than 19 years experience in the IT industry, coupled with experience in the physical security industry. While leading the U.S. Physical Security practice at IBM, he integrated physical security services sales and operations teams from both the IT and physical security organizations within IBM. Throughout his career his strong IT background and knowledge, including networks, hardware, applications and middleware, have enabled him to develop and grow businesses that capitalize on emerging technologies. He is responsible for creating, implementing and overseeing business plans and strategies that ensure profitable growth on a regional level. Docknevich earned his BA from Brown University.

 

Dan Dunkel,

Dan Dunkel brings over 22 years of successful sales, management, and executive experience in the information technology industry to a consulting practice focused on the emerging field of security convergence.

His background includes domestic and international responsibilities for direct sales organizations, value added reseller channels, and OEM contracts. His product knowledge spans enterprise software, server architectures, and networking technologies. Dan’s employment history includes senior roles in pre-IPO ventures, mid cap IT manufacturers, and Fortune 50 organizations.

His firm, New Era Associates, is a privately held consultancy specializing in sales strategy and business partner development between IT and physical
security vendors and integrators. NEA client's range from Fortune 500 enterprises to privately funded and venture backed start-ups. All share a common interest
in collaborating on integrated security solutions deployed within the framework of an enterprise policy. The goal is to accelerate security deployments to defend organizations against both traditional business risk and new global threats.

Bob Gauvreau
Manager, Corporate Security
City of Ottawa, Canada's Capital City

Bob Gauvreau, the current Manager of Corporate Security for the City of Ottawa, is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the City's Integrated Security Management System, for the security of over 15,000 employees, contractors and thousands of visitors who utilize the over 900 city facilities and more than 700 parks. Security Magazine recognized him as one of the 25 most Influential Security Executives in its December 2006 issue. Bob takes a leading role in the security planning for major national and international public events in the city. His work has garnered international recognition, with invitations to address international and national security conferences on various subjects such as Violence in the Workplace, Workplace Investigations, Threat and Risk Analysis, Integrated Security Management Systems, and Emergency Management. He has been active in the Security & Law Enforcement industries for over 35 years, beginning his career as a Police Officer and holds a Diploma in Advance Police Sciences. He received a Certificate of Commendation from the Canadian Governor General, for decisive action in a life-threatening situation. Bob has taught at both English and French Community Colleges in Law and Security, Security Management, and Alarm Technician programs. He has been featured in both national and international security publications in Security Director of the Year initiatives and has received the Security Best Practice Award from Security Magazine for his innovative and creative security solutions. Paul Smith

Smith is a veteran technology industry executive with management experience in sales, marketing, operations and product development. At DVTel, he has led the organization through five years of tremendous growth by developing a worldwide sales team, managing day-to-day operations, and providing a strong corporate voice and vision. He has written and been quoted for numerous articles that educate the market on advanced software solutions for security and has delivered presentations on the growth of IP video management at top industry conferences and events. Previously, Smith was a member of the founding team of DSET Corp.

Bob Sommerfeld

He has over 30 years of industry experience, including numerous previous roles at Adesta. He has held the position of President since 2000. In addition, Mr. Sommerfeld has 17 years of experience with engineering consulting firms where he provided engineering and construction management services to the telecommunications industry.

A co-founder of Brivo Systems, Steve served first as CTO and more recently as President and CEO, guiding the company from its initial vision of providing Web-based security services and products to its current position as the largest online access control system in the industry. An interactive systems architect, Steve helped launch Brivo after serving as Director of Internet Consulting for Sapient Corporation, where he lead Internet strategy engagements to support "dot com" startups and Fortune 500 new ventures. Prior to joining Sapient, Steve led Internet strategy development in the healthcare informatics industry for HCIA Inc. Steve also has over 10 years experience in wireless communications as Vice President of Software Development at Geostar Inc., the first commercial satellite-based vehicle tracking system in the US, and as Director of Systems Engineering at Communications Satellite Corporation, a global communications company, where he held product-line management positions for voice/data products.

Steve was honored in 2008 with his election to the Security Industry Association’s Board of Directors. He has written widely in industry publications and has spoken at major industry gatherings including ISC West, ISC East, TechSec Solutions, GOVSEC, IP User Group events in the US and Europe, Security Canada Central, and others.
