2011 TechSec Solutions Overview
Now in its seventh year, TechSec Solutions continues to live up to its reputation as the premier conference discussing IP-based technology's impact on the security marketplace and the newest advances in security technology. As IP has established its foothold in security, focus has turned to creating IP-based solutions that solve continuing real-world problems.
This year, TechSec's seminar program will contain the best-submitted solutions to six real-world problems developed by our Advisory Board. Combined with panel discussions and presentations developed by the editorial staffs of Security Systems News and Security Director News, the TechSec program is unmatched in the industry for delivering thought-provoking ideas and prognostications. See the Call for Presentations for more details.
Meanwhile, the Exhibit Hall is reserved for only those exhibiting companies with the newest IP-based technology, and those integration firms who know how to deploy it.
Is TechSec leading edge? Last year keynote speaker Frank Yeh, Senior Security and Privacy Architect at IBM and a prime developer of PSIA's specifications, wowed attendees with a presentation that explored the use of virtual worlds, augmented reality and 3D modeling in security applications.
Then, just two days later, SAIC announced its buy of Forterra Systems and its OLIVE platform for 3D imaging.
Later that month, EveryScape, which creates 3D models of cities and towns, announced $6 million in venture funding.
TechSec is leading edge.
Is TechSec offering practical information anyone can use? Bosch's Willem Ryan focused last year on the use of infrared LED lighting with IP cameras. IQinVision's Paul Bodell offered practical information on choosing megapixel cameras. Transent Investigations' Larry Walsh discussed using wireless hosted video solutions to nail deadbeats trying to cheat the disability system.
TechSec offers practical information anyone can use.
And TechSec is where the leading voices gather to discuss the pressing issues of today. Just look at the line-up from last year's closing panel on the future of video analytics:
Dave McGuinness, CEO, ObjectVideo
Eric Eaton, CTO, BRS Labs
Doug Marman, CTO, VideoIQ
Carolyn R. Ramsey, Director of Program Management - Video Analytics, Honeywell Security Group
Moti Shabtai, Executive VP of Business Development & Strategy, NICE Systems
John Whiteman, President, ioimage
This year, we continue to have the most unique and accessible conference in the industry, where everyone -- security directors, IT professionals, integrators, consultants, distributors and manufacturers -- is a valued attendee, and everyone's participation is so highly valued that the exhibit hall is locked tight while sessions run so that exhibitors aren't excluded. Further, the real-world solutions TechSec will have to offer this year will represent the standard by which solutions developed and deployed throughout 2011 will be measured.
TechSec Solutions is a venue for hundreds of conversations, big and small. If you've got a problem, come here for the solution. If you're looking for new technology, this is the place. If you're looking for new, creative ideas that will move the industry forward, you need to be at TechSec Solutions.
