A 25-year veteran of the security industry, Ray Davalos is the building systems manager at the Miami International Airport, a position he has held since 1996. Davalos began his career in 1985 as a data systems technician for the United States Navy, working on the USS MacDonough for four years before leaving to work as an electrical equipment technician at the Miami International Airport, where he was responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on building management and access control systems. Lauren Stover

Lauren Stover is the Assistant Aviation Director in charge of Public Safety, Security and Communications for Miami International Airport (MIA) and Miami-Dade County's system of airports. Stover is the first woman in the history of Miami International Airport (MIA) to direct the airport's day-to-day Security, Police and Fire Rescue operations for the Department. She was recognized by United States Attorney Wilfredo F. Ferrer of the Southern District of Florida in receiving the Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award for 2010 – 2011, a distinction never before given to Miami International Airport's Security Director. Stover, a 30-year veteran of Miami-Dade County government, was recruited in 2003 by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration (TSA) from a senior management position she held at MIA for nearly a decade.
DHS tasked Stover with building the first comprehensive public affairs operation within the TSA for the southeastern United States and named her chief media spokesperson for more than 60 airports. On March 1, 2003, Stover was appointed to coordinate public affairs for all DHS components in the southeastern United States. In 2003 she received the Gold Medal Award from the TSA for her performance, and in 2004 she received a Unified Best Practices Award from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. In 2004, Stover was promoted to Eastern Field Director for TSA's Office of Strategic Communications, overseeing security-related public outreach programs for more than 200 airports in 20 states. Stover's knowledge of civil aviation security and incident management extends well beyond the aviation sector, having been the first Public Affairs Director in the Department of Homeland Security to test a key role in the National Response Plan during the largest weapons of mass destruction exercise in U.S. history.
Stover works with virtually all key law enforcement agencies, local, state and federal, on Homeland and Aviation security events and issues, and is well known in the Aviation community as a leader in crisis management. She is also recognized for launching the Behavior Pattern Recognition program for MIA employees in 2006 making MIA the first airport in the United States to mandate the training to all airport workers. Due to Stover's efforts, more than 50,000 employees have received the training with her earning a National Association of Counties award for the Aviation Department. Stover also represented U.S. airports testifying before the House Homeland Security Subcommittee in April 2007 on the issue of screening airport workers and was one of six women in 2007 to receive an International Women's Day Award from World Trade Center Miami. She was also featured in a worldwide National Geographic documentary, "Inside MIA," in her role as MIA's Security Director and is currently on a new Travel Channel docu-series, "Airport 24/7: Miami." She was named by South Florida Business Leader as one of South Florida's top leaders earning her the 2011 Women Extraordinaire Award. Stover was appointed to serve on the Executive Board of the Southeast Regional Domestic Security Task Force as the aviation security representative covering Monroe, Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

As Axis Communications' security industry liaison, Steve Surfaro works with industry associations such as ASIS, BICSI, SIA and NBFAA/ESA and is involved in standards initiatives such as ONVIF. Mr. Surfaro was also instrumental in developing the AXIS video hosting system (AVHS) program, which provides video monitoring as an Internet service.
Mr. Surfaro is a frequent speaker at industry events, including ISC, ASIS, BICSI and international security events. He is a member of the ASIS Physical Security Council and speaks regularly at their workshops. Mr. Surfaro is the chairman of that council's education subcommittee and is responsible for consistent workshop content. Prior to joining Sapient, Steve led Internet strategy development in the healthcare informatics industry for HCIA Inc. Steve also has over 10 years experience in wireless communications as Vice President of Software Development at Geostar Inc., the first commercial satellite-based vehicle tracking system in the US, and as Director of Systems Engineering at Communications Satellite Corporation, a global communications company, where he held product-line management positions for voice/data products.
Steve was honored in 2008 with his election to the Security Industry Association's Board of Directors. He has written widely in industry publications and has spoken at major industry gatherings including ISC West, ISC East, TechSec Solutions, GOVSEC, IP User Group events in the US and Europe, Security Canada Central, and others. Steve holds a bachelor's degree from Calvin College and was a Ph.D. candidate in physics at the University of Maryland.

Prior to Ingersoll Rand, Venkat was the senior director of worldwide segment marketing for McAfee, where he focused on developing a go-to-market strategy for the mid-market customer segment and led the launch and evangelism of security solutions for this market. Prior to that, he was director of segment marketing at Trend Micro where he built a marketing organization from the ground up and led successful efforts to enter and lead new market segments. His experience also includes business development and management consulting roles with Brio Software, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and URS Corporation.

Charles brings Brivo over 13 years of expertise in the design and deployment of technical solutions for both federal civilian agencies and private sector clients. Since he joined the team in early 2012, Charles has offered invaluable operational policy and direction to ensure the protection of customer information. He is currently leading Brivo's entry into the FedRAMP program and provides guidance on NIST 800-53 and FIPS 140-2 and FIPS 200 compliance for Brivo production systems. Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Andrews Presbyterian College. He is CISSP-certified.

Prior to joining IDTP, he has been active in strategic planning & marketing, product development, industry alliances, and associated vertical market programs, with a heavy emphasis on the government sector. His career in the security and building controls industries spans 38 years, and his expertise covers access control and intelligent building systems including the integration of environmental, lighting, fire & security systems – and more recently RFID & NFC. Mr. Zivney has held positions with Hirsch Electronics and it parent Identive Group, CSI Control Systems International (now Schneider), MCC Powers (now Siemens), and Honeywell.
Mr. Zivney is on the Board of Directors of the Security Industry Association (SIA), and serves as SIA's chair of the Personal Identity Verification Working Group. He is also vice chair of SIA's Standards Committee. He is a member of the Steering Committee for the NFC & Mobility council of the Smart Card Alliance and also participates in the Alliance's Access Control Council. He has been active with both SIA and the Smart Card Alliance in providing practical input to government regarding PIV and FICAM standards, and has testified before Congress on behalf of the physical security industry regarding HSPD-12/FIPS 201. He has been active with NSTIC since inception and represents IDTP as a participating member of the Identity Ecosystem Steering Group. Mr. Zivney is active in standards activities with SIA (for Access Control, Identity, Biometrics), ASHRAE/BACnet, NMSAC for TWIC reader spec, RTCA 207 for Airport Security Systems, and is Chair of the Security Industries Standards Council. A sought-after industry speaker, his opinions and market outlook are often quoted in the industry trade. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
